• Women during first trimester or if there are any complications beyond this.

• Intoxication or under the influence of drugs.

• Illness, high temperature or fever.

• Recent accident, e.g. whiplash or concussion.

• Severe arthritis (early stages are fine).

• Very high or low blood pressure.

• Suffering from a localised infectious/ contagious skin disorder.

• Suffering from a potentially fatal condition (GP permission required).

• Diabetes, especially if suffering from loss of sensation.

• Osteoporosis or fragile bones.
